Eco Start - The UK's 1st Carbon Neutral Chair. The Eco Start is a task chair designed for the world we live in, providing owners with a peace of mind that it is an environmentally sound investment. To support this investment Eco Start is covered by a standard five-year structural warranty, however in recognition of its ability to last much longer we offer each chair with an optional Lifetime (10 year) warranty. The Eco Start chair has been analysed to measure its ‘carbon footprint’, based upon its materials, manufacture, transport and eventual disposal. It was designed using Alpha2Alpha lifecycle. Each stage of product development is examined to assess its environmental impact. By understanding and knowing the extent of this footprint allows us to offer each chair with a CO2 offset package, thus making the Eco Start ‘carbon neutral’. The price of each chair includes an amount for carbon offsetting. This is managed through Climate Care who fund projects around the world that reduce CO2, this balances or offsets the original emissions during the chairs manufacture.
